How DIY Editing Works
You sign into your account and your web site home page opens your internet browser, ready to be edited.
Next, you navigate to the page you want to edit, enter “Edit Mode”, type right into the page - add images, links and more—preview your work, click “Save”, and your changes are ready.
The actual editing process is similar to using popular word processing programs like Microsoft Word®
Use familiar text formatting options like:
- Bold, italic, and underline
- Cut, copy, paste icons
- Text color
- Paragraph alignment & indenting
- Adding, updating, and removing lists: bullets or numbers
- Special characters (®©¢£¤¥)
- Image controls
- Add/remove images
- Wrap/align text to images
- Add “alt text” to images (search engines don't know what your pictures are—alt text tells them, so they have a better understanding of your site)
- Insert links to:
- Pages on your website
- Other websites
- Files like Word® documents or PDF files
